Freedom School at the Thirteenth Avenue School

Freedom School at the Thirteenth Avenue School is hosted in partnership with the New Ark Freedom School and the Children’s Defense Fund. In 2025, House of Miriam NJ provided support for K-2 activities.

HOM-NJ’s Freedom School Scholars engaged in a range of activities including academic enrichment, culinary arts and gardening, STEAM, literacy, field trips and more. This program was offered to the community at no charge! Check out the photos of this year’s program!
